After a year and a half delay, Crysis is now available in North America, Europe and Australia! It looks like the wait was well worth it too, since Crysis has already received rave reviews, as seen from it's Wikipedia entry:
Crysis will be no doubt hard on even the highest spec computers. However, there are early reports that the retail version runs a little bit faster than the demo.
I'll be picking up my copy of Crysis later today.

EDIT 1: After playing through some levels, I can say that Crysis was definitely well worth waiting for.
The graphics are definitely out of this world. Not photo-realistic, but much closer to realism than any other game out there on the market. The retail version of Crysis is definitely running much faster on my computer than the demo, which is a plus. The game runs at a stable 20-30 FPS at 1920x1200 on high settings on my computer. The only time it really stalls is during heavy fighting, or when in areas that were just covered in ice.
While Crysis plays similar to any other FPS game for PC, what makes Crysis unique is the ability to change your attributes on-site. Want super human strength and super high jumping abilities? Switch to "Maximum Strength." Want super human speed? Switch to "Maximum Speed." Want to cloak and hide in the shadows? Switch to "Maximum Cloak." Of course, these super abilities come with a downside in that you are limited to using them for a very short period of time, depending on your energy level. You can also adjust and upgrade your weapons on-site as well.
I haven't beat the game yet, but I think I'm about half way through it. I still haven't played the Multiplayer Mode yet, but from what I played during the Crysis MP Beta, it should rock.
So... when should we have the next LAN party?

EDIT 2:
I just finished the game, after 6 hours of gameplay (3 from last night, 3 from today). While I am still amazed by the graphics and gameplay, the ending was quite disappointing. I won't reveal any spoilers, but the ending is like Soul Reaver 2's ending, for those that ever played that game. The total gameplay time felt short as well, especially when compared to Far Cry. Oh well. I guess now is the time to play some MP Crysis, along with Super Mario Galaxy.
Crysis was awarded a 98% in the PC Gamer U.S. Holiday 2007 issue, making it one of the highest rated games ever in PC Gamer, tying Half-Life 2 and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.[39]
PC Gamer Holiday 2007 FINAL VERDICT: 98%
Highs: A graphical powerhouse; immersive, open-ended sandbox that encourages emergent gameplay; well-paced storyline; meticulously detailed; engrossing multiplayer; included map editor.
Lows: Alien enemy AI not as spectacular as North Korean AI; enemies can sometimes absorb too much damage; a few minor glitches
Bottom line: Destined to be a classic, Crysis is a creative and technological marvel that eclipses every other shooter released this year.
Gamespot awarded Crysis a score of 9.5 out of 10, describing it as "easily one of the greatest shooters ever made".[40]
PCZone awarded Crysis a score of 92%, describing it as "Far Cry reborn" but criticising it's "poor final act".[41]
