At least, the most popular game in Japan makes it to the Americas! I bought Dragon Quest 8 a few days ago and let me tell you all that it rocks, its a MUST BUY! In effect, that one of the best RPG I ever played! And for the Final Fantasy Fans, a demo of Final Fantasy 12 is availlable with it and let me tell you all that it IS gonna rock! Like in all the dragon quests you name your hero, but for the very first time, DQ is in a full 3D world and Voiced! For the ones whò'll buy it, heres something I shall tell you! Party / Speciality Hero : All the way lances since the begining even if you only have swords to start up! Yangus : Shall go specialized in Scythes cuz it rocks and hit strong! Jessica : I suggest you master the Whips cuz it hit multiples enemies! Angelo : I really suggest you masterize bows with him cuz you know Bows rocks Simply all of those cuz theres 1 ranged, 1 multiple hitz, and 2 melee in the party! That's what i uses and let me tell that its still going good! Another thing i can tell you all is: Outside the first town, dont go too far up the hill at the right, THERES A DRAGON WITH AN AXE, i rushed to beat him in the demo and now that i have the game i'll beat him later on! Another TIP i can give you: Hunt Outside the first town till you reach Lvl 7 or 8 to start your real adventure, otherwise it'll be kinda hard! Well, all that to say that that game is a MUST BUY! Players of DQVIII, Tell me your comments Sincerely, Hunter Arius Evil Twins(Co-Leader)

Thanks for your impressions on Dragon Quest VIII, Hunter Arius. After reading several great reviews on Dragon Quest VIII online, as well as being a long-time fan of the Dragon Quest/Warrior RPG series, I'm absolutely certain that I will be getting this game (although, not until after fall semester has ended - too busy with homework/projects/finals ). It's been a VERY LONG time since I have played a fun, addicting epic RPG, so I'm hoping Dragon Quest VIII will fulfill this gap.

I just got my copy of Dragon Quest VIII yesterday... let's just say I'm hooked! The game is just stellar so far... haven't been this hooked on an offline RPG game since Suikoden III (yes, a VERY long time); there have been a few other RPGs between then (i.e. Star Ocean, Suikoden IV, etc.) that I have played, but none so addicting like Dragon Quest VIII. DQ VIII itself has excellent graphics and fun gameplay, yet retaining the classic elements that make it a Dragon Quest game.

You know I live in Japan and I never played it. I did watch my Japanese friend play it once. It was the old school 1. Like Dragon Quest II or III or IV. Lol not sure but haha the old one with old ghetto graphics. The new stuff does look good though.
