magic missile has pretty good range. *1d4*+1 damage *3*+1=4 damage.
It's a good hit, but he's still up.
Orc's turn. He's totally freaked out (4 people popped out and started shooting at him XD).
He throws his sword at hadvi (the closest person) and misses completely. then turns around and pulls open one of the doors (it's a double door). That took his entire turn
Gooooooo Merrak! (wait, nothing you can do really XD) I guess Tarquin should go ahead and take his turn.
NOTE: I find it funny that you assume the orc with the greataxe was stronger. They have the same stats (aside from weapon choice) actually.

you can attack with your bow. It'd take too long to draw your sword and move that far. Your best option would probably be to do what everyone else is doing (step out from cover and take a shot at the orc)

i dont think we assumed he was weaker. more stupid for sure(trying to attack a rock while on patrol) and less of a threat (weaker weapon). maybe we shouldve targeted whichever was closest to the door. oh well, this seems to be working fine.

roll... *5* it's a miss. crap, I just realized I have to start calculating miss directions to see if you hit someone across from you. *roll miss direction* grats, you missed high so it could have hit Hadvi, but you actually missed so high it went over his head too. (don't worry about this too much, it's much harder to hit an ally (accidentally) than an enemy, and judging by your enemies... you guys are pretty safe XD) and now we're all the way back to Ulfgar (Falco) new map Now I get to argue about falchions v. greataxes with bujin ^_^ Both orcs were probably an equal threat, but if I had to give one priority it would have been the falchion user. Both weapons are two-handed martial weapons, so they should be balanced (in theory), but let's evaluate their stats. Greataxe: 1d12 damage (max 12) (min 1) (average 6.5) x3 critical modifer=you're screwed if he crits Falchion: 2d4 damage (max 8) (min 2) (average 5) 18-20 crit rate=he's pretty likely to crit you (but you're not 100% screwed) The greataxe user could kill anyone in the party with a max damage roll, but he could also roll a 1 and do relatively little. Both of them would definitely get a 1 hit kill on a crit (due to the massive damage from str) and the falchion user is 3x as likely to score a crit. The only disadvantage the falchion user has is that his average and max damage is slightly lower, but because of low hp values at level 1 it probably won't matter in the end. At middle levels, the falchion and greataxe become more balanced, and the greataxe is probably better at higher levels, But at low levels, the falchion's high crit rate and more reliable average damage make it at least as powerful as a greataxe, probably more.

whoa jaegar. try NOT to rip my head off. besides, the one with the greataxe was certainly more aware. if i have to choose to kill the smart one watching wats goin on, or the stupid one trying to hit a rock with his weapon (and more likely to cut his own hand off by the looks of it), its a no brainer. besides- not like its much difference either way. wed have to have even worse luck than we got to kill neither of them. lol-and someone has a decent shot of hitting him in the back.

roll *13*+3=16 you hit ^_^ *1d6* damage=2 you hit him in the shoulder and he collapses New map Both orcs are lying on the ground unconscious, the battle is over. The sounds of the forest seem slightly muted in the relative calm that follows. CRYPTIC DM NOTES FOR YOU TO PUZZLE OVER (and for me to understand): 3 and 2

its quiet.....too quiet....
lol - we need 2 people to go up QUICKLY and grab an orc and bring them back around the corner and return to where we were when we started shooting at the orcs. then we remain ready to fire as soon as something might pop out of the door.
well remain like this for about 10 minutes. if nothing happens, we'll go from there about storming the keep.
if either of the two of you hear something, signal to the other (call to them if they dont notice), and head back to your spots. it is most important that we catch them (if they come out) off guard.
btw - KEEP AN EYE ON THE WOODS AND BEHIND YOU. we are not goin to be caught completely off guard. main attention on the gate however. i suggest whoever cant shoot a bow to keep watch behind your group and on the woods. as we know, we are out of range of the woods, but you just never know what could happen.
brb on who should go-checking char sheets. EDIT: all right - i know merrak is a bit further back, but you go to grab the closer orc (if you can carry him). Ulfgar - you go up and grab the other. Try to get his axe too, so its not too obvious what happened. HURRY. it was in the plan that wed hide the bodies, so this isnt anything new. if merrak cant carry his closer orc- trade and go back to your original side. we dont want to leave hadvi's side with no archers. i picked you two because your faster and stronger and merrak doesnt have a bow. i looked at the char sheets.
btw-where is hadvi's char sheet? also, we should ask yoon to move tarquins char to where the rest of the chars are.
@jae - kinda yes. we killed them both effectively. if you notice, i think all of my posts were crucified. hopefully not this one.
about riddle there: hmmm.... 3 and 2 probably applies to how the party is currently split up. check the link to see what i mena if you forgot. not much we can do but try and prepare for disaster. as long as we can remain alive, we can figure out the problem.

lol... you're never gonna figure out the cryptic DM notes... UNTILL IT'S TOO LATE THAT IS!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (and maybe not even then, it's just something to remind me of what I decided [too lazy to keep track of a piece of paper]. XD) anyway, I need everyone's opinion on bujin's plan and your immediate actions.
