Whew, finally finished doing my taxes for 2007. Filing taxes definitely isn't fun. Fortunately, having online tax programs like TurboTax makes it much easier. Can't wait to get my tax refund and this year's rebate! Just a reminder, but if you have to do taxes and you're an independent, you have till April 15 to get 'em in.

lol, it's my first time getting a tax refund. Last year I ended up owing $0.68 or something because the investments my parents put in my name did so well. I'm probably just going to pretend I'm not getting it and it'll just go into my savings set aside for a PC.
I still don't know anything about doing taxes/getting taxes done. My mom works seasonally for H&R Block. My co-workers tell me she's very good XD
I'm curious though. How much work does it take to your own taxes?

If you're single, only worked one job and didn't make income or invest on anything else, it's not very complicated. However, if you're married, have children, made income on more than one job, made investments, donated, were a war veteran, etc., it gets more complicated. Basically, the IRS wants to know exactly what you did with your money last year, and if they suspect that you're not reporting any additional income you've made that year, they'll do an audit, which can be a real pain in the ass. EDIT: @#$%! I forgot to add the interest on one of my savings account to my tax return... now I have to fill out a amended 1040X forum to add the correction. Did I mention I hate filing tax returns?
